TWA #9 – Dessert Island Challenge

designer cakes on a pie plateIt’s time for a fresh writing prompt. This week’s short stories will be all about being sweet, but we’re not discussing personalities. No, this week the arena centers around cookies, cakes, chocolate, pies, ice cream, candy, or any other delicious foodstuff our authors can think of. The challenge is to write a story about dessert. But we don’t just want a story with a pie in it. We want a complete sweetness overload. The arena demands that our authors write a story that will have us still thinking about dessert a day after reading it, or one that makes us think about dessert in a new way. This is not the time for half-measures, we want an absolute devouring of the theme, with donuts and cobblers or whatever tasty treats that can be imagined being central to these tales.

This week we have the ever-buoyant Hannah-Elizabeth Thompson competing against newcomer Nathan Cabaniss.

The stories will be published on July 16th and judgement will take place on Friday the 18th.

Best of luck to both competitors.

On a side note, we are paying our authors a base level rate at the moment, but if you really enjoyed their story and want to help us make sure these awesome people get paid, please donate below. 75% goes to the author, the rest goes to keeping this place up and running.
