The moment everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived.

No more smack-talk.

No more insults.

No more photographs with fake beards.

It’s down to what the arena is all about, one story versus another.

Who will win The Duel of the Duels?

Let’s find out.

Danny Brophy enters the ring with his story about a duel, “White River Roses.”

Firing back is Thomas Mays with, “Primum Proditione.”

The Duels of the Duels has begun!

Read, comment, vote, enjoy!

We have two judges that will render their decision by Friday. The third vote comes from you, the readers. We ask that you read both stories objectively, and then leave a comment below or on the story itself. Authors are not allowed to comment on their own stories, but we’re sure they’ll be checking in here. We’ll tally up the totals and announce our champion on Friday.

  1. The theme is very fitting knowing the smack talking that took place prior to the match. A duel indeed.

  2. I was interested to see that both writers took the Duel thing literally, though both had an interesting spin to deliver. Doesn’t make this decision any easier, though.

  3. Pretty hard choice this week. Action vs Fantasy. Which was deeper? Brophy’s had theme but less deicious violence. Hmm.

  4. I’ll bring the violence for the next time.
