TWA #31 – Prison Break Battle Thread

“Punitive Measures” by Albert Berg

“A.N.G.E.L.s” by J. R. Frontera

Prison

Welcome short story lovers, it’s time to get into this week’s battle.

Our authors were stuck in prison this week. We asked them to do their best to get out.

Their stories had to involve a character imprisoned in some way who then escaped from that prison.

Who made it to freedom and who is still stuck behind bars?

Let’s find out.

Albert Berg strikes first with “Punitive Measures.”

J. R. Frontera hits back with “A.N.G.E.L.s.

The prizefight over prison breaks has begun.

Read, comment, vote, enjoy!

We have two judges that will render their decision by Friday. The third vote comes from you, the readers. We ask that you read both stories objectively, and then leave a comment below or on the story itself. Authors are not allowed to comment on their own stories, but we’re sure they’ll be checking in here. We’ll tally up the totals and announce our champion on Friday.

  1. J. R, Frontera engaged me right away with Jonathan counting the days. I like how she carried the theme of his predictability and how the ending blew me away.

  2. LOVED this story! Started fast and just kept going all the way to the end! Loved the way the relationship and history of the characters was revealed! Ending was amazing! 🙂 Great work J. R. Frontera!
