TWA #24 – Heat and Meat Battle Thread

“Ginger Snaps” by Tabatha Mathis

“Universal Soup” by Tony Southcotte

TWA Battle Gather around, lovers of short stories.

For our American readers, this week holds the holiday of Thanksgiving, a feast wherein food is prepared, then more food is prepared, and then more and then more until finally tables laden with stuffings and birds are shared with family and friends.

We thought it only fair that this week we ask our authors tell a tale of cooking.

What types of menus did our hungry authors prepare?

Our order has been placed, lets head into the kitchens to see what’s cooking.

Tony Southcotte represents the arena with “Universal Soup.”

Challenging him is Tabatha Mathis with “Ginger Snaps.”

Battle #24 is now live!

Read, comment, vote, enjoy!

We have two judges that will render their decision by Friday. The third vote comes from you, the readers. We ask that you read both stories objectively, and then leave a comment below or on the story itself. Authors are not allowed to comment on their own stories, but we’re sure they’ll be checking in here. We’ll tally up the totals and announce our champion on Friday.
