TWA #11 – Steamy Revenge

Steampunk Hand CannonOhhhhh doctor! Do we have a match for all you short story lovers out there this week. The prompt is…well the prompt doesn’t matter. That’s not the exciting part. The exciting part is who is battling it out in the arena.

In one corner, we have Albert Berg, undefeated denizen of the arena and perennial fan-favorite.

Going up against Al? Ellie Ann! Yes Ellie, our USA Today bestselling judge, author of the steampunk novel The Silver Sickle, has agreed to step down from her golden, diamond-encrusted judge’s chair, set aside her grand high scepter of judging, and actually enter the arena to do battle.

Truly this is a match for the ages.

And then there’s the prompt. Those of you who are fans of the Human Echoes Podcast know how much Albert struggles when dealing with tales of revenge…so that’s what we’re making him write! For added fun we threw in the fact that this tale of revenge has to be a steampunk tale of revenge.

We think we read somewhere that one of the writer’s this week is a best-selling steampunk author. Was it Al?

Oh, who can remember, that won’t possibly matter.

Battle Steamy Revenge, Ellie Ann vs Albert Berg is on.

It’s going to be a fun week.

Ellie AnnEllie Ann says she’s an award-winning snake charmer, goat cheese maker, unicyclist, and nose flutist.
She also likes to make up tall tales, so you can’t trust everything she says.

But from some deductions and second-hand accounts it looks like she’s a NYT and USA Today bestseller of thrillers, science fiction, and comics. Check out her newly released comic Tale of Frida from Motionworks Entertainment.

  1. This is going to be a good one. I can’t wait!

  2. This might be the best match up we’ve had. I cannot wait to read these.
